The British Tag
Hello there old chaps!
There's my attempt at sounding stereotypically British.... safe to say I failed! I found this tag whilst going through my fave youtuber's (EssieButton) video in bed when I felt a bit down in the dumps and it cheered me up right away, so I thought I would do the tag myself as I am from the ever raining island that I call home!
oh my.... way too many! I am definatly a tea drinker and I have been from a young age! I think today I have had..... five cups of tea, so that's a normal amount but there have been times where I have drunk up to about 12 cups a day!
I take my tea strong with no sugar. I have a natural distrust for people who take more than one sugar in their tea... you may as well be drinking hot sugar water!

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day and how do you take your tea?

Fifth cup.... still going strong!!!!!!
2. Favourite part of a Sunday roast?
Now this is very tricky because I do love a sunday roast!
Well first of all it depends on what meat is being served, if its beef then that's my favourite part, but if not then probably the Yorkshire puddings and I'm going to throw this out there, cauliflower cheese isn't part of a roast!!!! My Dad thinks it is but no its not, its wrong and weird and cheese doesn't work with a roast! Okay? Okay! lets move on.....
3. Favourite biscuit to dunk?
I'm not really a fan of dunking biscuits into tea as I had a bad experience with a Hob Nob, where I had to remove the very soggy remainders of the biscuit with the spoon.... but if I had to choose, either a malted milk or a digestive.
4. Favourite "British" pastime?
I'm not going to lie, I had to google this for the simple fact that I couldn't think of what a British pastime is and half the things that came up where things that I do! I suppose when you spend the majority of life doing British pastimes and also actually living in the country you see what you do on a daily basis as normal rather than "quirky".
My favourite British pastime is probably going to pub as I love a good drink, but if I had to choose a more socially acceptable pastime I would also say I am a sucker for taking afternoon tea, I suppose it is the only thing that would ever make me act like a lady!
My favourite pub,
the Pilchard Inn in Devon
and the best afternoon tea, Browns in London
5. Favourite British word
Probably BUGGER or cheers!
6. Cockney rhyming slang?
I know apple and pears (stairs... I think most people know that) and dog and bone (phone). Pittsburgh steelers or peelers (The police) and I know one very rude one, which won't be typed on this page!
7. Favourite British sweet?
Hmmmmm, I love a rhubarb and custard and raspberry bonbons and I am partial to the occasional dip dab..... but I think my favourite sweet would be a lemon sherbet! Fun Fact: I cut the roof of my mouth the other day because I ate so many lemon sherbet's and the sherbet burnt my mouth because of it! worth it!
A thing of beauty
8. What would you're pub be called?
As an homage to the ever British icon that is Shakespeare and my favourite Shakespeare character, Ophelia, my pub would be called "The drowned lady". It also has an eeriness that quite a lot of British pubs seem to have.
The possibility for pub signs are endless...
9. Favourite British person?
Right after a lot of thinking, I've going to put five of my favourite British people on:
1. Amy Winehouse
2. Robert Smith
3. Tom Hardy
4. Sarah Kane
5. Morrissey
10. Favourite shop/ restaurant?
Easy Cath Kidson, next question!
11. What British song pops into your head?
When I think of British songs I think of:
Parklife by Blur
Friday I'm in Love by The Cure
Heroes by David Bowie
12. Marmite
HELL YES!!!!! I put marmite in everything... even pasta!
That's it! I hope I count as a normal British person! Cheerio for now! x
