Thirty Day Writing challenge- Day Six

Wow, its like its only been fifteen minutes since I last posted... if I play my cards right, it really will be fifteen minutes since I last posted!

Moving on to today's question:

Day Six- Someone who fascinates you and why?

First of all, I made it a goal of mine to actually include someone who was alive because every now and again, I like to try and make contact with the living, so therefore took me a bloody long time to think of anyone!

But I decided that the person who fascinates me is the only man who can get away with wearing a turtle neck, Louis Theroux!

Ahhh yes, the most brillant of all documentary producers, he has looked and interviewed people from the likes of the Westbro Baptist Church to UFO fantics and has attempted to break into the porn industry in the name of documentary filming, when I heard that he was going to release a new documnartry about scientology this year, I was as exicited about that as I was about suicide squad.

But I always wondered why I enjoyed his documentaries so much and why I found him so interesting?

I want to know how he managed to maintain his British politeness and courtesy as well as keeping his temper when interviewing the most bigoted of views, for example, unlike most people. When talking to the Westbro baptist church he never raised his voice or lost his temper, he would attempt to make the followers see different points of view but also knew at the same time that trying to change there mind would be near impossible.

He also fascinates me because he always seems to have an active interest and approach to the subject matter that he is researching, which I believe, allows people to break down the barriers and talk to him openly. It difficult for a person to act like they have a real interest in something odd or controversial such as a centre for paedophile's but Theroux seems to have a genuine concern and interest with all the subject matters that he address and that to me is the mark of a fantastic documentary maker and journalist.

As I said, my dream is to be featured in a Louis Theroux documentary, so in the meantime I can binge watch his series on netflix, scroll through the no context Louis Theroux twitter page (which if you don't follow I highly recommend) and wonder what his polaroid from the pornography documentary he made actually looks like!

Day six done and actually released on the date it was meant to be, even if it very late and I've let myself down from my promise to get it posted within fifteen minutes of the last post (I'm really useless, I know I know) but come back tomorrow for the next entry!
